State Budgets

Washington State builds three different budgets to plan how the state will spend money: Omnibus Operating; Capital Construction; and Transportation. Details about the budgets and links to additional information are included below.

Omnibus Operating Budget

The Operating Budget pays for the day-to-day operations of state agencies, colleges and universities, and public schools (including federal funds and dedicated funds).

Capital Construction Budget

The Capital Budget pays for aquiring and maintaining state buildings, public schools, higher education facilities, public lands, parks, and other assets.
